As a native of the Central Texas area, I grew up in Marlin and later moved to Temple where I attended Temple College and pursued a career in business. As a graduate of the Land Title School of Texas and as a professional in the land title insurance industry for 15 years, I became a leader in my company and my community. While Vice-President and Manager of a land title insurance company I oversaw budgeting, personnel, and marketing, as well as performing escrow and closing processes for all types of real estate transactions.
Following God’s plan and direction in my life has always been important to me. When I was lead to become the Church Administrator for Immanuel Lutheran Church in Temple, I accepted the many challenges ahead of me with confidence knowing that God had placed me there. For 15 years I served as the congregation’s principle business affairs coordinator. Among my duties, I oversaw the budgeting process, and produced all financial reports for the congregation. I also acted as the financial liaison for the church, its parochial school, and the community.
When I moved to Arlington in 2008, I felt God led me to Grace Lutheran Church and School. At Grace, I was welcomed by warm and caring servants whose love for the Lord and Savior can be seen in how they reflect the love that Jesus has for all people. Now, as Grace Lutheran Church’s Business Manager, I oversee the financial management for the congregation and work with other ministry team members, church leadership and members to turn vision into results. With passion, I enjoy and embrace using my God-given gifts to support this ministry within our community and beyond.
