Joe Masterson – Head Elder,
Families A-B

My name is Joe Masterson. My wife is Nancy and we have been members of Grace since 1984. We have two children, Andrew and Chelsey. Andrew presently lives in Rockwall with his wife and two children. Chelsey lives in New York City and is a librarian.

I have been an active member since joining Grace. I have been on the Board of Directors, the athletic committee, numerous building committees, facilities maintenance, the Board of Elders and handbells.

Since my retirement I love to travel with my wife and do woodworking.

Ernie Owens, Families P-R, T-Z

My name is Ernie Owens  and I grew up in Grand Prairie, joined the Navy after high school and met Chris while stationed in Great Lakes, IL., and we’ve been married for 58 years.  We’ve been members at Grace since 1970, where Chris and I have been involved in many ministries at Grace. I have currently been back on the Board of Elders for 8 years. I’m also very active in scheduling and planning events for the Holy Smokers.

Keith Mangels, Families F-H

Keith Mangels and his wife, Lyn, have been married for 49 years and are blessed with a daughter, a son, and four grandchildren. They have been members of the church since 1993, where Keith supports the families whose names begin with F, G, and H. In his free time, Keith enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren, following sports, participating in Holy Smokers, and traveling with Lyn in their RV.

Brian Bassett, Families S

I have been a member of this church since 1994 and serve as an elder and usher. As a duty elder during designated months, I help get the church ready for services, assist with communion, support our pastors, and visit senior care members to provide communion and spend time with them talking about what is going on in their lives. I am also an active member of the Holy Smokers, which is a natural fit since I enjoy cooking and grilling.

I am married to my wife, Ann, and we have three spoiled cats. I enjoy watching football, baseball, and NASCAR, have lived in Louisiana, Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, and Michigan before making Texas my home, worked more than 10 years in athletic retail, and currently own and operate a home inspection business.
